DIY All Natural Bathroom Scrub

DIY All Natural Bathroom Scrub

For many people the bathroom is the least favorite place to clean. It may seem as though the only way to properly clean a bathroom is to use commercial cleaning products that are filled with chemicals strong enough to eliminate bacteria, germs, and odors. This is not quite true.

The following homemade recipe is made with all natural products and has just as much fighting power to eliminate bacteria, germs, and odors as those chemically based cleaners.

What you will need:

1/2 cup baking soda
1/3 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon salt

*Important: First test an area to ensure that paste does not scuff the surface enamel. If it does then omit the salt.

Method:

1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix until a paste is formed.
2. Use a sponge and apply paste to sink, bathtub, and shower walls.
3. Rinse well with water and wipe with a dry rag.

  1. I love making my own cleaners! So easy and so much better for the environment. We are wanting to create a grey water system for watering our garden and you can't use harsh things for that.

  5. We have hard well water and it stains everything in the bathroom. So frustrating. I'm always looking for money saving ways to clean it. I wonder if the baking soda and vinegar method is strong enough to combat that. I have seen quite a few folks discussing this recipe on Pinterest. I might have to give it a try! Thanks! 1. We also have very hard water making the bathroom a challenge to keep clean. To be honest I did try many commercial cleaners prior to using vinegar and baking soda to clean with. What I found is the natural homemade cleaners are just as effective and sometimes even better than the commercial products.
      Thank you for stopping by!
